So, the rain is lashing down and hasn’t stopped all day. It’s battering most of the country apparently, with flood warnings in the South today and the heart of the storm due to travel up North tomorrow.
I haven’t written a blog post for a while. I don’t really know why. I haven’t done much writing of any kind for a few weeks and have been telling myself I’ve been far too busy to fit it in, but I’m not sure if that’s the truth or not. I have been busy, but no busier than normal. If I’m honest with myself I’d have fitted in some writing if I’d really wanted to. Which has made me wonder why I’ve not wanted to. I have ventured up to sunny Scotland (no, I am not being ironic, it really is!) with the littlest daughter to see my parents. I can hardly walk today. I am literally hobbling around and in my own mind am resembling someone who has recently had both hips replaced, both knees replaced and has had an embarrassing accident “downstairs”. I kid you not. I am also giving off strange sound effects as well – little “oohs” and “ahhs” as I attempt to get down or upstairs, get out of my car or stand up after sitting down for a few minutes.
