I am just back from a lovely girly weekend away to Ibiza. The last time I went to Ibiza, I was 17. I and my three fellow 17-year old friends partied and holidayed like only teenagers can. It was pure freedom. Continue reading “Girl About Harrogate”
We are just back from a holiday in the south of France.
“Let’s drive!” I said. Continue reading “Dementia: La Merde!”
My daughter is in the throes of her first love and her first heart-break.
I’m not talking about the boy at school she giggles about, or even Zac Efron, who she will openly swoon over, every time she watches a Greatest Showman song on YourTube.

We arrived yesterday after a long journey, where Mabel chattered away inanely for the first third of the journey, fell asleep for the second third and then moaned for the final leg. I can hardly walk today. I am literally hobbling around and in my own mind am resembling someone who has recently had both hips replaced, both knees replaced and has had an embarrassing accident “downstairs”. I kid you not. I am also giving off strange sound effects as well – little “oohs” and “ahhs” as I attempt to get down or upstairs, get out of my car or stand up after sitting down for a few minutes. Putting my shoes on is a particularly noisy affair today! Continue reading “Giving Mo A Run For His Money!”
So….Ta da! :

I have been a bit lazy with my blog over the past few weeks; the school holidays have inevitably had an impact on how creative I feel and how much free time I have to simply sit and think; Continue reading “Fighting The Lurgy”
Mum was discharged from the psychiatric unit back in January after spending several weeks being monitored and assessed by a team of specialist consultants and medical experts. Continue reading “Not Good Enough”
