I am just back from a lovely girly weekend away to Ibiza. The last time I went to Ibiza, I was 17. I and my three fellow 17-year old friends partied and holidayed like only teenagers can. It was pure freedom. Continue reading “Girl About Harrogate”

Dealing with Heart-Break
My daughter is in the throes of her first love and her first heart-break.
I’m not talking about the boy at school she giggles about, or even Zac Efron, who she will openly swoon over, every time she watches a Greatest Showman song on YourTube.
No, I am talking about her best friend…. Her BFF…. Her BFFE! Continue reading “Dealing with Heart-Break”
“Don’t Be A Big Girl!”

Young Love
It’s been an exciting week in our house: Martha was in the local paper yesterday as she’s raising money for Alzheimer’s UK (more on that in another post), which made her feel like a bit of a celebrity and of course, it was Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, which meant my eldest two got a bit giddy and unnecessary for a couple of days. Giving Mo A Run For His Money!
I can hardly walk today. I am literally hobbling around and in my own mind am resembling someone who has recently had both hips replaced, both knees replaced and has had an embarrassing accident “downstairs”. I kid you not. I am also giving off strange sound effects as well – little “oohs” and “ahhs” as I attempt to get down or upstairs, get out of my car or stand up after sitting down for a few minutes. Putting my shoes on is a particularly noisy affair today! Continue reading “Giving Mo A Run For His Money!”
Can Singing Help Battle Dementia?
I was asked by a website called http://www.telmenow.com to respond to the article in the Daily Mail last week (Daily Mail – Article on Dementia).
So….Ta da! :

Fighting The Lurgy
I have been a bit lazy with my blog over the past few weeks; the school holidays have inevitably had an impact on how creative I feel and how much free time I have to simply sit and think; Continue reading “Fighting The Lurgy”
