It is the season of sports days, school productions and ‘move-up’ days . Days filled with excitement, sunshine, nerves and fun. Archie is excited but apprehensive about starting senior school in September. Continue reading “Dementia: How To Feel Invincible!”

My Dementia-Friendly Hairdresser
I had my hair done last week.
It’s always a bit of a treat. A few hours on my own, drinking Earl Grey tea and munching on those little rectangular caramelised biscuits while chatting about life with the lovely man cutting my hair. He is called, Gerri. Continue reading “My Dementia-Friendly Hairdresser”

Putting my shoes on is a particularly noisy affair today! Continue reading “Giving Mo A Run For His Money!”

Advice, or something like it….
I remember my granny having Alzheimer’s in her late seventies and eighties and in its later stages she would confuse me with one of my cousins. I didn’t mind – my cousin was older than me, very gorgeous and in my mind very exotic as she lived far away in Canada. Continue reading “Advice, or something like it….”
